Take the time to share a funny joke with your elderly loved one, or a story from your past which promotes positivity and brings light to their day. Senior care sources throughout the world state time and time again that this is an indispensable part of the caregiving process and one which is most beneficial.
One key factor to consider while telling jokes and broaching this subject during your time with your loved one is approaching them from a loving and trusting place. Never tell a dark, negative or aggressive style of joke or humor as this will most likely not be received well.
