Test and Train Program

Test and TrainAs a licensed nurse registry that refers independent contractors,  it’s vitally important that each  caregiver we recommend has the ability to meet the unique, and often complex care needs of the person with Alzheimer’s disease.

Although as a licensed nurse registry we cannot train the caregivers we refer to our clients, we can and we do ask them to provide us with evidence of specialized training and education from the Alzheimer’s Care Resource Center, Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, or other organization offering comparable dementia specific training. This helps to ensure the independent contractors we refer to you have demonstrated the skills necessary to provide the care you’d like your loved one to receive.

In South Florida, ElderCare at Home refers independent contractors to the Alzheimer’s Care Resource Center, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, who can train, test and/or verify that the CNA/HHA, LPN, RN or companion we refer to you, has the education, training, skills and experience most important to you and your family.
