People often ask me why I chose to work with such a difficult population ~ Alzheimer’s caregivers. The truth is, I don’t find it difficult at all. It is the most inspiring and rewarding work I could wish for. Rarely a day goes by that I don’t work with individuals or families as they struggle with their individual caregiving challenges. It is wonderful to watch them begin to make positive changes that improve their quality of life after working with me through the gentle process of coaching and support.
Caring for someone that has Alzheimer’s disease is never easy. Choosing to care for them at home can be even harder. I find my own inspiration through the strength and courage I see every day in the patients and families that I am so blessed to serve.
